D-Day

I'm so tired from an unbelievable trip to London.
Yesterday I started with the exciting David Bowie exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museeum.
You have to visit it if you have the chance.
Mr. David Bowie is such a fascinating artist, he was so important for the history of music!
The exhibition is made so affectionately, I was really happy to saw his costums, notices, paintings, pictures and hearing his songs at the exhibition.
Went back to Greenwich and made an excursion to the Greenwich meridian.
I had a wonderful view at cloudy London.
Then we took the chance and went by the new cablecar across river Thames to the O2 arena.
I was very scary because I have "Vertigo"!
But the view over London is unbelievable!!!
After a day with David I had then an evening with Dave!!
He changed the set uncredible five times:
" in your room"," behind the wheel", "world in my eyes", "John, the relevator" and " soft touch, raw nerve"!
I couldn't believe, but it is the truth.
One of my best Depeche Mode concerts ever!
I saw Depeche Mode many times since 1982 and I'm proud and happy to have been yesterday at the second London concert!
My friends and me sreamed so loud:
Dave heard us and smiled at us!!
At " just can't get enough" the concert turned in a giant party.
"I feel you" was the great height of one of the best concerts ever!
Thank you, Dave!!!!
Thank you, Martin and Sylvia for dancing and sreaming with me!
Thank you to my travelmates for an unforgetable trip to London.
I have no choice I have to come back to London in November to see them again in the O2
Arena!

I just can't get enough....

Arrived yesterday in London! Rain!!!
We needed more than one hour to our hotel in Greenwich!
The area at Cutty Sark is beautiful, many small shops and restaurants. Great!
Then we took the bus to the O2 arena.
Wow, so many bars around the arena and they all had special offers because of the Depeche Mode concert!!!
Special cocktails named like Depeche Mode songs, for example " Enjoy the silence" was a cocktail with Jack Daniels and Lemonade!!!
Yummie!!!
The concert was again great!
Dave is the best for me!
He is ageless, amazing!!!!!!!
He worked until the whole arena is singing!!
Southe my soul, wow, the crowd went crazy at this song!!
"Halo"! Dave sang this song with such a gentle voice, I was so impressed!!
"Just can't get enough": highlight of a wonderful evening and of Mr. Andy Fletcher, because he played a short solo!!!!
We met many friends after the concert and had lots of beers and fun!
Today I will visit the David Bowie exhibition, I'm so excited!
And tonight, the second concert!
Happily is easily!!!!!

No rain

We went to Bratislava with a rental car and checked in our four star hotel.
Called Hotel Set and it is very comfortble.
We had luck, because it didn't rain here like four years ago.
They had there promotions cups in two different designs, if you kept it it cost 2€.
Good and cheap merchandise.
The concert was one of the best, because the fans was in a very good temper and I met friends there
and I laughrd and danced the whole evening.
It was a wonderful evening for me, thank you Bratislava and Depeche Mode.
The first longer trip goes to its end,
Have had a good time and I'm happy to come home......

Back in Vienna

After more than six hours in train we arrived in Vienna, in the same hotel, we were in march as Dm played here the album launch event.
This evening we have day off from the concerts, so I will meet a friend and go to bed early and try to find some sleep in our four bed room, argh!!!!

In the train we met some other fans, one sat in our cabin, Peter from wonderful Copenhagen and another guy: Igor from st. Petersburgh; he said to us:" Hey don't drink so much beer, it's no so healthy for your liver",ha ha, funny guy!!

Tomorrow morning a friend will pick us up by car and we'll go to Bratislava for the last concert of our 11 day long trip!!!

Secred to the End

I don't have words for this evening:
Take a look on my pictures, photographic pictures!
At the last four songs I stood in the second row and at " Never let me down", Dave was so close to me, I wasn't able to take a picture, I'm totally paralysed by his presence!
So enjoy the pictures: they can say more than every word:

Good morning Zagreb

Yesterday we took at noon the train to Zagreb.
It was a wonderful trip, the train passed the enormous Lake Balaton and many small resorts at the bank of the lake.
We had lots of beer with us, but not enough and unfortunately the board restaurant was disconnected at the boarder to croatia, so we had a dry period.
But look : the seats in the train was styled in the new Dm style, so we asked us, took Anton Corbjin some day the same train?
Arrived late in Zagreb and after a short  trip with the taxi to our hotel near the Maksimir Stadion.
The concert was displaced from the stadion into the Zagreb arena, but the arena is at the another end of Zagreb, so we are now in the wrong place!!
Found a great small restaurant and enjoyed a good italian dinner!
Slept well, because it's very quiet here.
After a breakfast we are now chilling in our generous hotel room with Karlovacko beer.
It's colder outside than the days before, so we will go late into the city and then to the arena.
Stay tuned!!

Soothe my soul

I'm not sure, do Depeche Mode soothe my soul?
This concert started slow-going, but I realised fast, the ungarian fans know "Delta Machine" and thats for the first time.
But this is the reason why I come back every tour to Budapest.
Here are real hard fans, here there are no gap, here I had physical contact and I like it.
"Soothe my soul" and " Personal Jesus" was the best songs tonight, sometimes I couldn't move, couldn't do anything because I stared at Dave the whole time.
He was back again in Budapest and he love his life, his job and his fans!
Martin Gore sang tonight " Higher love" and said then to the ungarian crowd"you make me love everywhere!"
I met so many friends tonight, that's one of the reason I like to travel through the world!
Good night : Mirko, Lars, Klaudija, Elvis, Heelje, Ilka, Davidu, thank you for the fun I had with you.
Klaudi, you equal to me, you screamed like me and celebrated Dave like me!
Thank you!

Buda-Pest

A few impressions of Budapest.
I like this city and I'm looking forward to the concert this evening.
Last concert here in 2009 was one of the early concerts after Dave's disease and as he has sung " Enjoy the silence" he looked so meditative as he has thought maybe I will come never back again......
Then it started to rain and it was such a special mood.
And now he is back!!!!!!!
And me, too.
See you there!!!

Technical problems

New sunny morning in Beograd:
After an short espresso we went to the station and bought a ticket for our trip to Budapest for unbelievable 15€.
Then we walked to the fortress from where we had a great view over Beograd and the river Danube.
We saw on the other side New Beograd and the Uscepark and : the stage of Depeche Mode, yeah!
It was a wonderful hot day and we enjoyed it, because we was so hungry for sun after the long long winter in Germany.
In the early evening we changed the bank and reached the Uscepark as Diamond version was on stage, the supporting group.
We made a very good bargain at the merchandise, because the shirts was so cheap there.
And then:"Welcome to my world and Beograd!"
Mr. Gahan wore a new stylish waistcoast, looks like freshmade by a turkish dressmaker!
He looked so laid-back, good feeling for me!
It was an extraordinary good concert, the serbian fans seemed all so happily to see finally DM.
This time Dave started "Barrel of a gun" with jumping and suddenly there was no sound, we heard only Dave's voice, so they started again with the song and it happened again.
At least the keyboard from Peter Gordeno must exchanged.
Martin looked not glad, but Dave made the best of a bad job with dancing and joking!
I walked happily back to the hotel:
And I saying it with Depeche Mode:"And I thank you for bringing me here......"
It was a short night because we've  had technical problems, too with our travel  group! Lol!

At quarter to seven a.m. we took the train to Budapest, an 9 hour trip and now after a short meal and walk at the Danube we are so tired.
Our hotel here: The Royal Park Hotel, is closed to the station and the stadion and it is very comfortable!
I'm excited to see Depeche Mode tomorrow, now I'm on my trip!
