Depeche Mode in Las Vegas and Schulzi flying high

Good Morning!
Second day in Las Vegas!
Last night I slept so much better.
We had an amazing day yesterday.
I ran nearly an hour to The Stratosphere Tower on the Strip and back.
The area is changing really hard after the last Luxus Hotel Circus Circus. Empty building plots, covered Parking spaces, liquor stores, cheap gift stores and many strange people.
Must be so hard to live as a homeless, but here in this glitter flitter way of life must be more harder.
Then I had an very healthy breakfast in the Venetian Court.
I love this rebuilt world of ancient Europe.
Then a few rounds in the spacious hotel pool and I was ready for the first trip in this country with my friends.
We drove to the Sky Walk of the Grand Canyon.
Words are not enough to describe this nature spectacle, it look like painted not real.
I enjoyed the silence of this wonderful place and fought with my Vertigo.
Then a short stop to take some Joshua Tree pictures ( The name was given to the plant by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who mimed the thin outstretched branches with the arms of the Old Testament leader, Joshua, who led the Israelites to the promised land).
And another stop at the Hoover dDam between Arizona and Nevada.
The dam provides the water supply of Las Vegas. At the moment a historical water level is reached.

The day ended with a great vegan meal in the " Veggie House" at the3 Chinese Quarter of Las Vegas and a walk on the strip with a huge Margerita in my hand.
I felt totally happy in my bed and now enjoy my pictures.
Today is concert day, I'm very excited to see Depeche Mode again.

Warm up for running in the early morning.

Schulzi on Globalspiritour, second leg, North America, Tour Diary

Hi my dear friends and beloved devotees.
I'm arrived a few hours ago in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The last 3 days was so crazy, you would not believe it.
I booked a Air berlin flight and on Monday we got the message that our flights are cancelled and that our money is gone, Air Berlin is insolvent.  It was a shock but we booked a new flight for an acceptable price and had a long journey now via Frankfurt and Washington D.C to Vegas.
After 18 hours we arrived. All the other problems of the last days I left them at home....
But the flight was well operated by United Airlines, I got a vegan meal, everything was fine.

I love it to be back in Vegas, it's 12 years ago I was the last time here ( Playing the Angel Tour) in 2005.
We have a spacious room directly in a Casino Hotel on the strip. Vegas is an unique mix of glitter, cheap glamour, luxury, dirt....a special smell is in this town. Everyone who's was here on time, know what I meant and for all the others: watch the great movie " Hangover"
I had a few "Hangovers" in my life... let's see what will happen here in Vegas.
It's 5 o'clock in the morning, I'm awake since 4. Now I will start the day with a run over the strip and a round in the hotel pool. Later we will drive to the Grand Canyon and some other friends will arrive this evening.
So join in my tour diary! Happy to be back on tour!

Depeche Mode in New York on Nine Eleven or for all the heroes of Nine Eleven

Here are a few more pics taken by Steffen.
Must been an amazing second concert with the first Dave Setlist change on this tour:

Ok, I'm honest, not my favorite changes specially " Black celebration" in this slow version with the remarkable drums are not mine.
Dave must been in a very good mood, ok, it's his hometown for a long time now.
I heard dedicated " Heroes" to all the Heroes of Nine Eleven. Wow, amazing words, because it is not his kind to speak so serious words. But I think, this is really his opinion.
He lived already 2001 in New York and when the towers collapsed he was on a European tour in Vienna and did not know for a long time where his wife and daughter were. Many fans reproached him that he did not say anything at the concert in Vienna. What could he have said without crying? Go out, get daily routine and get this awful day around, this is what he has done. I had full understanding for him, and I am glad that he has said something now.

Enjoy the pictures of Steffen.

Thank you Steffen for the great pics. I'm very excited, can't wait to see Depeche Mode again in less than two weeks in Las Vegas. Yippie yeah....

So stay tuned, it will be continued soon...
