Depeche Mode in Stuttgart, November 28 or " More or less!

Topic of the Stuttgart concert is " more or less" or is it a matter of opinion?

We drove four hours to Stuttgart, the traffic in the city was very cruel.
But we arrived early enough to find a good parking place and to meet our friends. We drank a beer together and ate Hamburgers. For me not the best choice, the vegetarian burger was not the best, he was heavy in my stomach and later back home I got ill. Food poisoning, not funny, or abdominal influenza. I don't know...

Ok, after the dinner we went into the venue. The Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-arena is an old venue of the 80ties, but modernized  a few years ago ( capacy 15000 people). it is combined with the smaller Porsche Arena. It is not my favorite place for concerts but not so far away, so here we were!!

But the entry into the Front of the stage area was a disaster. The didn't have enough wristbands and so we have to wait and to wait. Normally you get this wristband when you leaving the Front of the stage area. But no possibility to discuss with the arena security. It was an unbelievable effrontery of the arena management. Same like 2013 at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Stuttgart.
As we got finally our wristband, Depeche Mode started just in this minute. The Front of the stage area was overcrowded, all the people stood shoulder to shoulder, no place to move. Dave welcomed the crowd with " Good evening Stuttgart". Well done, sometimes he confused Stuttgart with Mannheim.
But we should not need the place, because no one moved. Everyone just stood there, little applause, little reaction. Dave tried his best, very professionell, but the most of the audience enjoyed the show by watching. So sometimes it's more, sometimes less.
Friends of mine wrote on Facebook how good this show was, better than Frankfurt. I cannot agree but it is a matter of opinion.
And Dave had his opinion, too. He didn't touch the fans at the end of the catwalk and broke up the sing a-longs after " Home" and " Everything counts" very fast.
But like in Frankfurt he tried to speak a little bit German: " Do you feel good?.... Jaaaaa?"
And later " Dankeschön". Very nice.
With " Everything counts" the audience woke up a little bit and to the popular tunes they started with dancing and singing.
 Depeche Mode know already why they play their singles all the time. Fans like us fans like us, who follow them through the world, are not so many against the masses.
I enjoyed the show, specially the screenings, very well done Anton Corbijn with the new " Everything counts thing. Look like a runway for space shuttles, but is nothing else then the stage mirrored over and over again.
There must also be such days, so that we can be back the day after tomorrow and celebrate the brilliant concert. After say " Goodbye, see you next time" Dave took off his vest as he left the stage.
There is also hope for us crazy devotees, that he will stripp a little bit like all the years before.

I'm laying down now in my bed....ill!
Have to find a person who will write the report for Mannheim, because I cannot go this evening...
