Depeche Mode Milano or the best of the best

We arrived after a long traintravel in Milano!

Finally Italy, my favourite country!

I love the language: bla bla, the wonderful sound of the italan language and the unbelievable friendly people everywhere.

We had the same hotel like the electronic crew of Depeche Mode near by San Siro!

I have to write so many more about this trip and I will do this tomorrow, because I'm now in Roma and want to walk trough one of the beautiful cities of the world.

But I have to say: the concert in the huge Stadion San Siro was for me the best of the tour!

The athmosphere was unique, It was like to be in a bee hive: hum hum!!!

Depeche Mode in the Antic Arena, Nimes

In the early morning we went by Thalys from Cologne to Paris and after a two hours stop we took a TGV to Nimes.

Our hotel was direct at the station and we all needed a shower because it was so hot!!

Than we walked to the antic arena.

It's an old Colosseum and by a lucky hazard I got a funny seat:

Row 101/seat 101!! Ha ha!'

Think it was the smallest show of the tour!!!

From the beginning it was a great concert, the crowd sang from the first song!

" Should be higher" worked!!!

We bought one liter cups of beer!! 

Was a wonderful evening which peaked in " Just can't get enough!"

Partytime!

It was the first time I saw the show from from behind and I enjoyed the great screenings from Anton Corbjin and the lightshow!!

After the concert I was very worn out because I had a hard week at home, a long travel and can't find any vegetarian meal in Nimes....

Good night Nimes!!!

Next morrning we catched a train to Lyon with 30 minutes delay and nearly we missed our connecting train to Milan.

But, with a little bit luck, we got it and had a beautiful travel over the Alps.

We reached Milan in the early evening and checked in our hotel near by the stadium San Siro.

The hotel is such a big baroque style hotel, we don't be in line with that style but the electronic crew of Depeche Mode are checked in here, too so we aren't the only strange characters here.

It's easy in Italy to get a good vegetarian meal, so I feel invigorated and pleasant tired!!!

So happy to be here in my favourite country to see my favourite band.

Depeche Mode in Dusseldorf, part two of an unbelievable story

We went to Dusseldorf on Friday evening without expectations.

And what a surprise, the second concert was totally different!

Depeche Mode changed the set seven times, Dave sang the six songs from the second London evening, but they played "Walking in my shoes" and cancelled " Secret to my end".

Think, they tried to play more hits and a faster set for the crowd of Dusseldorf.

And this time it worked.

Martin sang " Somebody"!

Must say :" very good!"

Dave was unbelievable, at " Enjoy the silence" he flipped out and danced like a raving loony!!

Cool!!!!

It was the best song of the evening, finally I get it like I want!!!!!

Then " Personal Jesus" and later " Just can't get enough": I danced and sreamed until my bodily limits.

In the train I felt into a short sleep and reached home so happily!

Depeche Mode in Dusseldorf, family trip

Wednesday was home game day.

Not really, because I live in Cologne but since twelve years Depeche Mode didn't play in Cologne, so we have to take what we get.

It was the first time I went with my children to a Depeche Mode concert.

I was so excited, will them like my absolut favourite band?

We reached the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf and the organisation was very grotty! 

Long ways, not enough restrooms, not enough bars, at 22o'clock they hadn't beer anymore

and the audience was very dozy.

My kids like the concert, because they didn't have a comparison, but I can say it was one of the worst concerts.

Dave tried his best, he sang also the quiet songs with heart blood, but it didn't work.

Normally he is dancing at Personal Jesus the whole time at the catwalk but this time Dave turned before the song ended.

However I enjoyed the evening with my kids  ( " Never let me down" was  their favourite, it is the only song what always works because at the end the whole crowd made this wave motion with their arms!!) and friends and as we left the arena my son saw an advertising for the real home game!!

Ha, ha, what good news!

Depeche Mode in Kiev, last day of my trip

We stand up very early because it's the last day in Kiev for us before we fly back in the afternoon

to Cologne.

We visited a monastery, it's like the "Rome" of Orthodox Christianity with many beautiful churches, an

adorable garden and an underground cave system with small rooms for prayers and alcoves with feretories. A little bit spooky because the only illumination was the candles in the alcoves.

After a last wonderful meal we took a taxi to the airport!

Kiev , I will come back one day!!!

Second day of sightseeing in Kiev!

The city is so colorful, has imposant old buildings, all places are clean. The people are very friendly and helpfully. There are so many interesting sights to discover. New stylish restaurants and cafes with tasty food and drinks.

But rarely street signs, so sometimes it is not easy to find out where you are!
